Log from the notification panel
- Open Sip → Today and turn Notification water bar on.
- Allow Android notifications. Use Set up / check my water bar to inspect permission, channel and live logger status.
- Swipe down the Android notification panel. Tap the blue quick-add button for your usual glass.
- Expand the notification for +100 ml, your glass, +500 ml, Enter ml and Undo after a recent entry.
My meter is missing
Check that Android notifications and the “Live water meter” channel are enabled. Tap Enable / restore live water bar in Sip’s setup. Force-stop, system battery restrictions or manually dismissing a notification can affect visibility. On Motorola/Android 15, start with the app’s diagnostic sheet and Android notification channel controls. Sip cannot bypass an Android permission you switched off.
Reminders arrive later
Reminder times are approximate because Android may defer background alarms to save battery. Reminders stay quiet in your sleep window and pause after the chosen goal is met. The live meter remains separately controlled.
Change a water entry or goal
Open Insights, select the day, then tap an entry to edit or delete it. Change the daily goal in Settings or My flow. The planner shows an estimate and lets you edit before saving; it is not a measurement of body hydration.
Export or erase records
Use Settings → Export water history to create a CSV in a destination you select. Erase water records & profile removes the local journal and preferences. Exported files and advertising-provider data are separate. Uninstalling removes local app data.
Advertising privacy
A banner may appear in the main app after the applicable privacy flow. It is not placed in the water notification. If a privacy-options entry is required, My flow shows Advertising privacy choices. Offline or unavailable ads do not block logging. Test builds display Google test advertising; they do not produce live ad revenue.
