The essentials

1. Who provides Sip

OXODIAN provides Sip, a water logging and habit app. Contact us at support@oxodian.com for privacy questions or requests. Our website is oxodian.com. This notice applies to Sip; the website and other products have their own notices.

2. Information you enter

Sip stores the water amounts, dates and times you log, daily goal history, preferences, notification/reminder settings and optional planning profile (age, weight, estimated other drinks, routine and the individual-fluid-guidance flag). This data is used locally to show your meter, calendar, charts and planning estimate. It is kept in the app’s private storage on your device, not uploaded to an OXODIAN server or sold by OXODIAN.

Sip does not access Health Connect, medical records, contacts, microphone, camera, GPS, body sensors or the contents of other apps. It does not automatically measure the water you drink or hydration inside your body. The profile is optional; a manual water goal can be used instead.

3. Google advertising and consent

Sip integrates Google Mobile Ads Next-Gen SDK and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to display one banner and manage applicable privacy choices. Test builds use Google’s official test ad identifiers; a test banner is not a revenue-generating live ad. The final publisher configuration and region can affect the ad and consent experience.

According to Google’s SDK disclosures, advertising services may collect and share:

Google describes purposes including advertising, analytics and fraud prevention, with transport protected using TLS. Sip does not attach your water journal or planning profile to ad requests. Google and its advertising partners process advertising information under their own policies and settings; see Google Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from partner apps and Google’s SDK data disclosure.

Where applicable, UMP checks whether a consent message or privacy-options entry is needed. Ad requests are gated by UMP’s canRequestAds decision. If privacy information cannot be obtained and there is no valid prior state, the banner can remain unavailable; water logging still works. A published consent message and final AdMob IDs must be configured before a live advertising release.

4. Permissions and background operation

Notification permission lets Sip display your water meter, direct logging controls and reminders. The user-enabled live water logger uses Android’s foreground-service facility to keep this visible interaction available and refresh the local day. It performs no health-sensor monitoring. You can stop it with the Today-screen switch or Android controls. Reboot/time-change handling restores the chosen feature and schedule when Android permits.

Internet/network access supports Google advertising and consent. Privacy/support/creation links open your browser. Sip’s water journal remains usable offline; ads and web pages may not load. Android or an SDK may add normal advertising-related permissions in the merged release manifest; Sip does not request a location or health permission for advertising.

5. Your choices

You may contact us about applicable access, correction or deletion rights. OXODIAN cannot retrieve a journal that remains only on your phone. Advertising-service requests may also need to be directed to Google.

6. Retention, deletion and security

Local records remain until you erase them, clear Sip’s storage or uninstall the app. The app disables Android automatic backup for its data. Copies you exported remain wherever you saved them. Android app isolation and your device security protect private app storage; no system can promise absolute security.

Google retains advertising/consent data under its policies, controls and legal obligations. Erasing the water journal does not reset all SDK storage or erase provider-side data. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes locally stored app data, while provider-side records follow the provider’s retention rules.

No Sip account is created, so there is no account-deletion flow. Local erase and support contact remain available.

7. Support and external pages

If you email us, we receive your email address and the message/attachments you choose to share. Our email provider handles delivery and storage. We use this information to respond, investigate the reported issue and handle related follow-up; we keep it while needed for these purposes or legal obligations. Do not include unnecessary health records, passwords or payment details. Ask us at support@oxodian.com to delete a support conversation where applicable.

“More from OXODIAN” is an optional promotion of our own creations. It does not send the water journal to another app. Following its link opens our website or a relevant external service, whose privacy terms then apply.

8. Audience and health information

Sip is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. It is a general wellness diary, not a medical device, and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Planning numbers are estimates with stated assumptions. Follow a qualified clinician’s fluid advice for your circumstances, particularly when fluid intake is restricted.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this notice when Sip’s features, SDKs or data practices change. The date above identifies the current notice. For privacy or support enquiries: support@oxodian.com.
